New Thermal Interface Materials from Leader Tech

Leader Tech, a US manufacturer of EMI/RF shielding solutions, recently launched a new line of thermal interface materials (TIMs) that include high performance graphene, carbon fiber, and indium.

Thermal Interface Materials, or TIMs for short, are materials inserted between two components for improving thermal conductivity. Also known as “gap fillers”, TIMs aid in the transfer of heat from a heat-producing device (like an integrated circuit) to a heat-dissipating device (like a heat sink). TIMs can be found in a wide variety of electronic applications, including laptops, gaming devices, base stations, and microprocessors.

Thermal Interface Materials come in a variety categories, including:

  • Pastes/Grease
  • Adhesives
  • Insulators
  • Metals
  • Conductive Pads (typically made of silicone)

As the electronic applications in our world continue to advance, so has Leader Tech’s Thermal Interface Materials! Leader Tech is proud to announce the following high performance TIMs:

  • Carbon Fiber: Ultra-thin and highly flexible, this carbon fiber thermal pad can replace thermal grease material. Thermal Conductivity ranging from 16-35 W/m-K
  • Graphene: A combination of graphene and silicone that has high resiliency and low density. Thermal Conductivity ranging from 70-130 W/m-K
  • Indium: Transitions from solid to liquid at its melting point, and back to solid again at room temperate. Thermal Conductivity of 80 W/m-K
